- Audio and video equipment such as Televisions, DVD & VCD players, Stereo Systems, Home Theatre etc, are equipped with remote control systems to ensure user comfort and convenience. They however consume power at the rate of 15 – 25 watts, when they are in stand-by mode. Turn off the plug when they are not being used.
- It is bad practice use your Tv set as a home theatre.
- Mobile phone chargers could also consume up to 10 watts if left on even though the mobile phone may be disconnected.
